Murray Hill-One of the original historical communities slightly outside the downtown area, this neighborhood has been home to many famous Annapolis families since the 1880's. Most, but certainly not all, have been updated to today's standards. Every once in a while you will find an original home with 3 full bathrooms and a flush (a word to describe a toilet tucked in the basement for the help.) Lots of history can be learned in this area. Homes start from a mere $500k to a downtown waterfront location fetching a $2.5 million plus price. These homes exude elegance, charm and wealth from the old days. Interestingly, there is no banner or stonework welcoming you into this community, it is quiet about its location, manner and grace. The people that live there are happy to be anonymous. You will not see a community center nor an HOA fee in this place. If you like an elegant classic community with no dogma or pomp, this may be the place that you will want to call home.
